Get A Bigger Return on Your Investment Property

(Without A Rent Increase)

By ROB WALMSLEY

In 20158 AAPR changed the rules on lending for investments, the changes meant most banks increased rates on investment loans, however not all banks are born equal and some of the smaller lenders weren’t affected.

As an investor, the biggest cost of a property is usually the mortgage so it makes sense to have a look at the rate your bank is charging. If your loan is with one of the big four, your rate probably increased recently.

It may be worth refinancing with another bank or it may be a simple matter of fixing your loan with your current lender. Either way, it’s worth checking.
