Rate Cuts May Be Coming To An End
The Reserve Bank of Australia has been indicating that the days of rate cuts may be coming to an end.

Maybe it’s time to have a look at your situation and consider fixing part or all of your loan while fixed rates are so low.
Fixing your loan can provide security during periods of uncertainty but be aware that if rates should fall during your fixed period, you will not benefit. That’s where splitting the loan can be a good idea. By splitting the loan you can have the best of both worlds: the certainty of fixed payments plus the flexibility of a variable loan rate.
Generally fixed rate loans don’t benefit from things like offset accounts or extra payments but splitting you loan can you these features. Also, if rates rise, it will only be on the variable portion of the loan.
Whatever loan you decide on, be sure to read your contract, as fees on fixed loans can be high if you decide to pay out prior to the fixed term ending.
